Olympos

After arriving in Antalya (a city with cheap flights from Europe, completely overrun by German tourists), I picked up a rental car and headed south down the coast to Olympos, a very old town known for its beaches, ancient ruins, and in recent years, Kadir's Treehouse Hostel. Yes, for one night, I stayed in a treehouse, and it was great. The Hostel is about 1km from the beach, and once you pay the fee to enter the beach area, you see all sorts of ruins. After crossing a freshwater river that empties into the beach, you will discover extremely old ruins including ampitheaters and temples. The beach itself is a little rocky, but with the Taurus Mounains in the background and the turquoise water in front of you, you won't mind. Try the lahmucun (Turkish Pizza) at one of the restaurants near the beach, you won't be disappointed.

Highlights: Ruins, beach, Treehouse hostels (numerous)
Things You'll Notice: Ancient ruins are everywhere, lots of places to cliffdive
